RACING NEWS...

5-24-09 No one could touch him in his heat race, he finished first which put him starting 2nd in his main with no invert. He had second place easy with no one around for 10 laps until he went high out of turn 4 and hit the wet surface which took him for a ride into the wall. He helicoptered 3 times around before landing on all fours facing the opposite way. We thought he was going over but he held on. Lots of damage to the right rear of the car but nothing that can't be fixed. Scraped the paint on his helmet and the bracket for the seat was bent. The car was towed in and Dalten was checked out by the paramedics and is doing fine. The water truck watered just before our main. They made us go around 5 laps before our race up high to work the track in where they watered. Just wasn't our weekend!!!

5-23-09 We started 10th and finished 13th. Dalten was passing and was headed into 4th when he got pushed into the infield in turn 4. He waited for a yellow that never came out so he took off to try and catch up but there was no laps left.

5-22-09 Well we went down to Tucson on Friday afternoon to practice the car with the new motor and was still having carb problems after rebuilding them again last week. We stayed up until 2:00 AM working on the car at the track. We changed the fuel filter, the ignition box, the fuel pump, 4 different carbs, the battery, wiring, and come to find out we had too much fuel going to the carbs which had to be adjusted with a gauge. Thank you Dave Kinneson who showed up Saturday and solved the problem.

5-16-09 This season we have had some bad luck with motors and carbs.  Dalten finished bad in his heat due to our brand new carbs that we got on Friday before the race.  They wouldn’t work under load, as soon as he put fuel to them they cut out.  We put are old carbs back on that had not been fixed from the last race but were better than the new ones for the main.  We had a starting position of 11th and finished 4th, not to bad for messed up carbs.  Dalten took the checkered flag and his car died. The push truck pushed him in and we found out he blew the motor that only had 3 races on it. We are now piecing the two motors together to make one because the motor that we just took out before the Tucson race had 6 races on it and the piston rings we're no good. We don't have time to send out the motors before our Memorial two night race weekend so we are making one out of two. I hope we can figure out these motors and carbs before too long. We need a win!!!  Still ahead in points, at least we have been consistent.  See you in Tucson!!

We thought Dalten had won the hard charger award but missed it by 1 car to the 1000cc motor.  We started 11th finished 4th and they started 10th and finished 2nd.  Just our luck the way things have been going but we hope it will turn around Memorial Weekend!!

4-25-09 our first non wing race of the season and Daltens favorite without the wings and a new motor.  Dalten was on the pole position for the main event, as the green dropped the first turn Dalten was pulling away when he hit a rut lost the steering wheel out of his hands and the rear of the car came around and spun him out all by himself in the middle of turn 1 and 2.  Talk about some bad luck.  Dalten was put to the back of a 20 car field and had passed 7 cars within 5 laps, went up to 3rd position with 3 laps to go and a caution came out that put him back to 5th position, with 1 lap to go another caution comes out and they started the race again with a green flag and a white at the same time.  He ran out of laps and finished 5th.  Daltens car was fast and he loved the track!!!
